This year the major event that all have been waiting for has been scheduled from the 8th of March to the 3rd of April. The ICC T20 World Cup 2016 host country is India. The first match will be played in Nagpur while on the 3rd of April the grand finale is to be played in the Eden Gardens of Kolkata. On the 11th of Dec, the ICC made an announcement about the T20 World Cup 2016 schedule. It included the Men’s and Women’s schedule. As we have already said, the first round of matches is scheduled from the 8th of March to the 13th of March. After this, on the 15th of March India will be hosting New Zealand for the Super 10 matches. The Semi Finals are planned for the 30th and 31st of March. The T20 World Cup 2016 logo was announced by the ICC on the 8th of Dec with great pomp.

The T20 World Cup 2016 teams are made up of two Groups in each round. The first round has Group A which consists of Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands and Oman. On the other hand, Group B has Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, Scotland and Afghanistan. The group winners carry on to the second round. In the second round Group A has Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa and England and Group B has India, Australia, Pakistan and New Zealand.
